The show was the first Mexican animated series to ever be picked up by a major U.S. cable network.

According to series' creator and Anima VP, Jose C. Garcia de Letona, the series' main characters are based on the main characters from the 2003 Mexican film, Magos y Gigantes, as they both feature a young giant who didn't grow giant, a fairy who can't fly, and a magician to whom everything went wrong. In addition, Trafalgar's name in the series and from the film are the same.

According to Anima Estudios executives, it took nearly 2 years to enter the show to the U.S. market since the show since they began to take shape of production.
