This was the first television series to be created and produced by Paramount Studios, which up until that time had been a movie studio exclusively. Earlier TV shows, such as Star Trek (1966) and Bonanza (1959), were acquired by Paramount when the studio purchased Desilu.

The Brady's next-door neighbors, the Ditmeyer's, were mentioned frequently, but only Mister Ditmeyer was seen only once, in a 5 to 10-second cameo, in the closing scene of, The Brady Bunch: Coming Out Party (1971). It appears to be the same actor, Paul Sorenson, that played the role of Ralph Hinton, father of Buddy Hinton, in The Brady Bunch: A Fistful of Reasons (1970).

Each time the front of the Brady house is shown as though it were "evening", the same shot is used for "daytime". The evening shot of the house is only darkened. The same shadow that can be seen in the daytime shot in the lower right corner (caused by the roof) is seen on the evening shot.
