When Jackson is seen entering the I-5 Freeway, the freeway is located in a trench which does not exist in Newport Beach. The freeway entrance scene was filmed on a stretch of the Sam Houston Tollway where Harwin Drive and Westpark Road are at ground level - the filming location no longer exists after 2003 when the Harris County Toll Road Authority relocated the Sam Houston Tollway frontage roads to ground level - the location since 2004 is now the interchange of the Westpark Tollway. Right after filming wrapped, the location where the BMW enters the I-5 later had a safety barricade erected when the Harris County Sheriff's Department (and its Precinct 5 Constable division) were cracking down on illegal tollway exits and entries bypassing the toll plazas.

The San Diego freeway scene (where an elevated high occupancy vehicle exit ramp is seen) was filmed on U.S. Highway 290/Northwest Freeway) heading southeast into Houston, TX. A Stop-n-Go billboard advertisement is visible - in real life, Stop-n-Go was a former convenience store chain which was purchased by Diamond Shamrock, now owned by Valero Energy Corporation.

In the scene when Charlie explains to Natalie that he used a candy bar instead of a gun, the candy bar is hard and fresh when she opens it, not soft and melted despite being sat on by Charlie for a considerable length of time.

Natalie's hat and lipstick disappears and reappears between shots.

Natalie Voss: You kidnapped me with a candy bar?

Jack Hammond: There's a difference between being violent and being driven to violence. I am NOT a violent man!
