Goofs
When Costigan talks to Madolyn at the café, we see him leaning over the table and then pulling away in a back shot. Then the shot cuts to front and we see him still leaning over the table.

Based on the view of the State House from Sullivan's apartment balcony, he lives on Tremont St., just north of the Park St. intersection (see reference to Pickering St envelope address goof).

Near the end of the film, after Costigan is shot, the elevator is blocked. It tries to close but Costigan's body is blocking it, thus moving back inside. However, after Brown is shot, the elevator does not move at all.
