Trivia
In the scene at the town square where Boss Hogg is about to give an election speech, the narrator says that Boss Hogg's favorite saying is "Vote early and vote often." This saying actually exists and is attributed to "Big" Bill Thompson, the notoriously corrupt mayor of Chicago during the 1920's who was bought off by Al Capone. Whenever possible, Capone would rig the Chicago elections in order to ensure Thompson's victory.

In this film, the General Lee's first jump was Hogg's Ravine, which was really big and nobody had jumped it before. This jump is based off the creek that made the first jump in the show, and was seen many times.

Goofs
When they take the General Lee for it's first drive you can see the back window being fine, then during the drive there's a shot of it being broken out, but when they arrive back it's whole again.

In the original series, Bo and Luke's parents supposedly died in a tragic car accident, along with Daisy's. In the film, Jesse makes many references to the boys' parents being alive.

Near the end of the movie, Bo says, "Hopefully she'll last long enough to do what we gotta do" while referring to the General Lee. The General is always referred to as a "he", never a "she".
