AThroughout the first season, Wells seems fairly likeable, aside from a few dodgy actions that hint toward a sinister agenda. It is confirmed after the episode "The Man In The Yellow Suit's" post credit scene that he is Reverse Flash, he uses the same distorted voice trick that The Flash/Barry Allen uses. It is implied that Dr. Wells also can use his supercomputer to physically travel back and forth through time which partly explains why he and Reverse Flash can be in two places at the same time as well as interact with each other. However, his connection to the Speed Force (the source of Barry's powers) is weak, meaning that his powers are unstable (they are not always available to him and take intense focus to control). Stabilizing his powers is obviously a very high priority for him.In the comics, Reverse Flash is an anti-villain who is motivated not by personal gain or megalomania, but by a desire to make the Flash a better hero by making him experience tragedy. Much of Wells' actions thus far seem consistent with this motive.
