QWho is the 'grey lady' in the portrait hanging in Cassie's living room?
AThe 'grey lady' is Elizabeth Merowick, Cassie and Abigail's great great grandmother. In the first movie, Martha Tinsdale tells a story about Elizabeth liking to wear grey after after she was left to languish by her sailor husband. As Cassie tells the story, Elizabeth and her husband, Naval Captain Charles Hamlin, were madly in love. They spent two passionate months together before Charles was called back to duty, never to return. Elizabeth kept a light burning in the window for 28 years until it finally went out. The next day, Elizabeth was found dead of a broken heart. However, it was further revealed in The Good Witch's Garden, after finding a book of stories written by Elizabeth herself, that Captain Hamlin was merely a fictional character.
QWhat happened to Grandpa George O'Hanrahan?
AJust after Cassie and Jake were married in The Good Witch's Gift, George (Peter MacNeill) decided to move into Grey House (Cassie's Bed & Breakfast) so that Cassie could move in with Jake. Grandpa George is mentioned in this movie, but his whereabouts are not revealed. Two possibilities are that he is still the caretaker at Grey House or he is traveling in Ireland.
QHow is Abigail Pershing related to Cassie?
AAbigail is the daughter of Cassie's aunt (her mother's sister). As revealed in the first movie, Cassie's parents were killed in a car accident near Zurick, Switzerland, after which Cassie was sent to live with foster parents in the United States. Abigail was born to Cassie's aunt after Cassie's parents died. Abigail's father left when she was 13, and her mother died shortly thereafter. Cassie did not know about Abigail until Lori made contact with her while doing online research on her family tree as a belated wedding gift for Cassie and Jake.
