Goofs
The closing credits incorrectly say that James McGowan played Leon Deeks. The actor who played him was in fact Graham Abbey (who starred alongside McGowan in The Border).

Q
Is "The Good Witch" series based on a book?
A
The first movie in the series, The Good Witch (2008), was created as a Hallmark Channel movie written by screenwriter Rod Spence. The screenplay for the second movie, The Good Witch's Garden (2009), was written by G. Ross Parker. Both Spence and Parker are credited with writing the screenplay for The Good Witch's Gift. It was followed by The Good Witch's Family (2011), The Good Witch's Charm (2012), The Good Witch's Destiny (2013), and The Good Witch's Wonder (2014).
Q
How does the movie end?
A
After several mishaps (i.e., the wrong marriage license, a ruined wedding cake, no minister, and a lost ring), things seem to magically fall together. Martha finds Cassie's wedding ring, Martha's husband Tom (Paul Miller) (the mayor of Middleton) brings the right marriage license and agrees to perform the ceremony, and George (Peter MacNeill) and Lori (Hannah Endicott-Douglas) whip up a new wedding cake. George escorts Cassie up the aisle, and the wedding ceremony goes off without any problems. Following the ceremony, George announces to Cassie that he would like to move into Grey House so that he can run the B&B when Cassie moves in with Jake. Cassie agrees, then excuses herself. She goes outside where she finds Leon lurking in the bushes and invites him in. Leon hands over the $100,000 from the Shelbyville robbery and asks Jodi (Jordan Todosey) to give him a second chance at being a father. Ruth (Marie Ward) also agrees to give him a second chance, and the three of them walk off together as a family re-united. Deputy Derek Sanders (Noah Cappe) asks shop-owner Betty (Laura Bertram) on a date, George's girlfriend Gwen Harrison (Elizabeth Lennie) returns with her grandchildren who are looking forward to seeing snow. Unfortunately, the weatherman doesn't predict snow, but Cassie says otherwise. Jake and Cassie go outside where there's a horse-drawn carriage waiting to whisk them away. As they climb into their seats, snow starts falling around them. "How did you...?" Jake starts to say, but Cassie cuts him off. "Magic happens," she says and kisses him.
Q
How much time has elapsed between "The Good Witch's Garden" and this movie?
A
About two months at best. The Good Witch's Garden takes place during late autumn (after the first frost) when Jake asks Cassie to marry him. When The Good Witch's Gift opens, it is seven days until Christmas, and Jake suggests that they tie the knot on Christmas eve so that Cassie will awaken with her new family on Christmas morning.
