Bruce Lee once said that he was selected for the role of Kato because he was the only Asian actor who could properly pronounce "Britt Reid".

Al Hirt, who had a big hit with the song "Java," was grabbed by Billy May to perform the opening and closing title music. Hirt used a technique that musicians know as "triple-tonguing" Which is extremely difficult, especially for the amount of time he used the technique in the theme music.

The license plate number on the Black Beauty was V194.

A mistake which runs throughout all Green Hornet incarnations is pronouncing the Japanese name Kato as Kayto rather than the correct Kahto.
