"The Harlem Globetrotters Popcorn Machine" was one of the first shows produced by Viacom Productions. Viacom went on to produce such successful network series as "Diagnosis: Murder" starring Dick Van Dyke for CBS, "Matlock" starring Andy Griffith for NBC, and "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" starring Melissa Joan Hart for ABC and then the WB Network. Viacom Productions was active until 2004 when it was folded into Paramount Television; like Paramount Television's product, CBS Television Studios now owns all the Viacom Productions shows, including this one.
