Two of the gargoyles are named Victor and Hugo after Victor Hugo, the author of the novel, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame." The third gargoyle, Laverne, is named after Laverne Andrews, one of The Andrews Sisters.
Bette Midler sang another version of 'God Help the Outcasts' for the soundtrack release. Various words are changed in this (such as instead of 'gypsy' the word 'humble' is used), in addition to these changes the parts sung by the people in the church are not in this version and the song is also much longer.
When Quasimodo is desperate to hide Phoebus beneath his table he knocks over the small sculpture of Frollo. In the next shot it is Esmeralda's sculpture that has been knocked over.
While Frollo is singing "Hellfire", he pulls out Esmeralda's sash. At various points throughout the song, the sash disappears and reappears in his hands.
