When Timon and Pumbaa first meet up with each other and continue to scream it is daylight outside. But the previous shot was night time.

When Timon is dragged out of the river by Pumbaa, there is no flower. However, when Pumbaa turns around Timon has a flower held over him. The flower is gone again shortly after.

The Lion King 1 1/2 takes place before and during the events of The Lion King. It depicts Timon and Pumbaa's perspective of the story.

Do the final sequences contradict The Lion King?

How could the "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" scene have taken place the day after Simba's royal ceremony?

In the first film, the waterhole is not a very long distance from Pride Rock, so Timon and Pumbaa's journey there would not have spanned much time. They may have gotten there in the same day. The scene of them waking up could have taken place much later when Simba is older.
