Goofs
Peggy Brandt tells the police officer at Ripley Auto Finishing that she is a reporter from the Evening Star. Later, when introducing herself to Stanley, she says she works for the Tribune (although she could be freelance, or it could be a "journalists tell lies" joke).

When Stanley opens the closet to hide the mask, and all the money comes out, some of the bills are clearly blank pieces of paper.

Near the end of the movie, Milo jumps up and catches the mask by one corner of the chin. When he lands from that jump, he's holding it by the center of the forehead.

Q
Are there any follow-ups or sequels to The Mask?
A
Originally, there were plans to make a sequel to The Mask after its release. However, these plans fell through after Jim Carrey opted not to reprise his role. Carrey felt that, based on his experiences in filming Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995), reprising his character in a sequel to The Mask would not have offered him any challenges as an actor. Nevertheless, a sequel was made, Son of the Mask (2005), although it featured a different cast and crew to the previous film and unlike its predecessor, was a major critical and commercial failure. Furthermore, there was an animated TV series The Mask (1995-1997) that was based on this film.
