Q
Is The Old Dark House available on DVD?
A
In October 2009, The Old Dark House was released on Region 1 as part of the William Castle Film Collection. This is the only official DVD release so far.
Q
Are there major differences between this, the novel and the 1932 film?
A
This film is radically different from both the novel and the 1932 film version. Only the basic concept - a traveller arriving at a country house inhabited by a weird family with a deranged servant called Morgan - is the same. After that, this version has few similarities with either the novel or the earlier film.
Q
When was this made - 1962 or 1966?
A
The Old Dark House was filmed in May-June 1962, but was not released until 1966.
