Chauncey Leopardi re-praises his role as Squints for the first time in 14 years, the only actor from The Sandlot (1993) to play a part in this sequel. Michael Antonakos was the only actor from The Sandlot 2 (2005) to do so.
The line given by John Kruk near the end of the movie, "I'm not looking for athletes, I'm looking for ball players" comes from an interview given by Kruk while playing for the Philadelphia Phillies. In the interview, he stated that he was not an athlete; he was a baseball player.
In the scene where Tommy and his mom are exiting the doctor's office, Tommy exclaims that he needs a drink, but if you look closely, he is mouthing something entirely different.
