After being run out of town on the train the night of the party, the next day when Jason had the train back into town, a contrail is clearly visible above the locomotive cab.

After buying the saddle Jason places a Lariat over the horn then picks it up & goes through the door. When he gets to the other side of the door the Lariat has moved from the horn to the strap below the horn.
