Goofs
At the beginning of the tournament, Bogart's odds are listed at 9-1 and, after he cuts out his tracking device, Powers tells his assistant to shorten his odds even further. However, during the "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye" montage, they are shown as 20-1, before being down to a more logical 4-1 during the climactic chase on the freeway.

When the scene of all the random assassin's dying to the music is taking place, one scene shows the clock at 6:38 and change remaining, but 2 scene flicks later it shows the clock behind the Host, and it's at 7:01 remaining.

Q
Who runs the tournament?
A
It's not stated definitively, but as Lai Lai explains to Father MacAvoy, the organization has the money and resources to control government figures, and is more powerful than any law enforcement. The man in charge is named Powers, which is a reference to the phrase, 'Powers that Be.'
Q
How does the movie end?
A
Lai Lai and Father MacAvoy go into a church where there are no CCTV cameras, meaning the tournament hosts cannot show video footage of them. Joshua Harlow confronts Lai Lai in the church and forces her to reveal why she killed his wife. Joshua drives his knife into Lai Lai, and her tracker signal goes out, but Joshua secretly spared her life and only cut out the tracking device implanted under her skin. Joshua is brought back to Tournament HQ to celebrate his victory, but he reveals there that he's learned that Powers is the one who hired Lai Lai to kill Joshua's wife, as a means of getting him to enter the Tournament. Joshua seizes Powers and shoves Lai Lai's tracking device into Powers' mouth, causing it to activate again. The four seconds left on the countdown timer when it froze, resume counting down and both trackers detonate, killing both Joshua and Powers. After the media is properly paid off to cover for Tournament activity, Father MacAvoy is shown leading his congregation in prayer, having found himself and gained a new sense of strength and conviction, and Lai Lai living in anonymity in the town, attending his church services.
