Trivia
Anthony Wiethoff was originally cast for the part of Cut Troy's Cuff Soldier but left the set due to disagreements with director David O. Russell's scenes of torture of US soldiers.

In the scene when they torture Troy Barlow with electric shocks, they shocked Mark Wahlberg for real. He said he wanted to get into the role, and since they had all the equipment there, they hooked him up and gave him a shock.

Clooney, a notorious prankster, played a prank on Nora Dunn by putting an apple on the antenna of a Humvee and catapulting it, hitting her on the forehead. The only cast member Clooney did not prank was Ice Cube saying, "Cube's not gonna take it. He doesn't have to. He's from South Central."

When the little girl is kneeling next to her murdered mother, her father puts his arms around her to comfort her. In shots where the camera is behind them, he has his arms around her, in shots when the camera is facing them, his arms are behind her.

Q
Did George Clooney really hit David O. Russell on set?
A
Yes. The incident was the result of a heated animosity between Clooney and Russell coming to a head.George Clooney claims a fight started between he and Russell after he had witnessed the director shove an extra to the ground. Clooney had previously confronted Russell over his alleged harsh behavior towards extras on set, including ignoring a woman who suffered a seizure while he set up a shot. However, some witnesses claim that Russell was actually demonstrating how he wanted someone to be thrown to the ground in rehearsal, and that Clooney had blown the incident out of proportion. These incidents are further chronicled in the book "Rebels on the Backlot" by Sharon Waxman.
Q
If Chief is a worshipper of Jesus, why is he praying with the Muslims in the cave?
A
He was praying to Jesus, they were praying to Allah.
