In September 2014, the BBC apologised for transmitting footage of Jimmy Savile on the programme on BBC2 on 13 September following seven viewer complaints. The BBC statement read: "Unfortunately this brief appearance was missed. It was removed from iPlayer as soon as we were made aware and replaced with a re-edited version. Although all programmes are reviewed before broadcast, unfortunately this brief appearance was missed. We apologise for any distress caused."

Although this finished as a series proper in 2004, Christmas specials are still made and broadcast.
