Trivia
At the end of the film, the remains of the fallen Decepticons are dumped into the Laurentian Abyss, in the Atlantic Ocean. Ironically, in The Transformers (1984) the Decepticons had as their lair an underwater abyss.

The Decepticon that transformed into a MH-53 Pave Low helicopter was originally named Vortex, after the Combaticon from The Transformers (1984), but this name was later altered to Incinerator, then to Soundwave, and finally he was christened as Blackout.

In his police car mode, Barricade's front side holds the Decepticon symbol, and reads "Pacis Quod Alcedonia" (Latin for "Still, Halcyon days of Peace") and "Incorporated since June 1865." His back side reads "To punish and enslave," a twisted version of the classic police slogan "To protect and serve."

Goofs
As Ron drives Sam past the Porsche dealership, the reflection of the camera car filming them is briefly visible on the dealership's windows.

When Sam leaves his house with the Transformers he is carrying his brown jumper. The scene then changes to him talking with the Transformers and he has his brown jumper on. Then the angle changes, and he has his jumper over his shoulder again.

After the soldiers are fired on by Starscream in Mission City, Epps tells Lennox that it had to be an Alien attacking them because friendly aircraft would never fly below buildings. Yet, when the friendly F22s attack Megatron, that's exactly what they do.

Q
What happened to Barricade?
A
Barricade was damaged by Bumblebee. After he had repaired himself, he answered the Decepticons call during the final battle, but he disappears after the freeway scene. In Revenge of the Fallen, Barricade was never seen or mentioned in the movie but he does return in Dark of the Moon.
Q
Why have the subplot with Maggie and Glen? They seemed unnecessary.
A
Maggie Madsen (Rachael Taylor) and Glen Whitmann (Anthony Anderson) may not have been necessary for seasoned Transformers fans, but their characters were needed for "a story mechanism to explain certain things in a deliberately paced manner" for those unacquainted with the Transformers mythos.
Q
Isn't Starscream a F-15 in the G1 series, why is he an F-22 now?
A
The reasoning behind Starscream being an F-22 probably has more to do with the nature of Starscream himself. In other iterations of the Transformer franchise, Starscream is depicted as a conniving, sneaky Decepticon who prefers well-planned sneak attacks rather than brute force, which fits the function of a stealthy plane like the F-22, which is designed to strike before the enemy even knows it is there. Throughout the movie, some of the Transformers display traits that are reflected in their alternate modes (i.e. Ratchet an Ambulance since he is a medic, Ironhide as a beefy truck since he is tough and armed), and considering Starscream's nature, the change in his alternate mode suits him. Also, the F-22 is a slightly larger plane, giving Starscream a bit more of a size advantage than he would have had with an F-15 alternate mode. The F-15 is an older plane, the F-22 is now the top of the line fighter, so it just makes more sense for Starscream to be a more modern jet.
