In the segment 'Safe Haven', when the lone survivor is trying to escape the area, he smashes the car window to get inside the vehicle. A few seconds later, when the demon beast attacks the vehicle, bits of glass shatter across the screen coming from the already missing window.
In the segment 'Safe Haven', when Joni is left alone with Father, the front of his shirt is wet. In the next scene his shirt is dry, and in the final scene it has water spots on it.
What are the differences between the R-Rated and Unrated Version?
A
Safe Haven is the episode with the most violence and the reason why there are two versions of V/H/S 2 in the United States. The DVD and Blu-ray contain both the unrated and uncensored theatrical cut (from when the film hat a limited release in cinemas) and an MPAA-approved R-rated version (for graphic and bloody violence, grisly images, sexual material, nudity and language). The latter doesn't show any cuts but used the technical nature of the film in order to apply rather subtle censorship measures. Some of the goriest moments were blurred by using digital effects that suggest that the recording camera was just having technical problems right at that moment. A detailed comparison between both versions with pictures can be found here.
