The glowing symbol in the building lobby, made up of solid and broken lines, is the I Ching hexagram for Persevering. It is made by combining the symbols for Thunder and Wind.

Although a double was employed to run through everything beforehand and make sure it was safe, Mischa Barton performed all of her own stunts.

When Sam is researching the building on the Internet, the article she reads spells architect wrongly.

In the final grave digging scene, Malestrazza uses a board as a shovel, and then his hands. As the camera angle changes, Malestrazza is shown scooping dirt with his hands, but is only pantomiming the action. He makes several digging motions, but shovels only air.

When Jimmy and Mary are talking in their kitchen he is facing the camera and passes her the can opener. The camera shows a closeup of Jimmy and he doesn't appear to move but when the view changes back to the two of them, he has turned to face Mary.

Sam Walczak: In his lifetime Malestrazza designed 27 buildings, all of which are still standing. This one he called his masterpiece. There are no current plans to demolish it.

Julie: [first lines - wakes up in narrow space] Dad?

Joseph Malestrazza: The Light House of Alexandria, the Temple of Artemis, destroyed. The Gardens of Babylon, the Colossus of Rhodes, destroyed. The Seven Wonders of the World, demolished, burned. All except the Great Pyramids and my buildings. Because both the Egyptians and myself inured human beings in our foundations. All that counts as energy.
