Trivia
When Lou Costello shows up at the studio to claim his "Wheel of Fortune" prize, the music the studio orchestra plays is "You're a Lucky Fellow, Mr. Smith" from the previous Bud Abbott and Lou Costello film Buck Privates (1941).

Radio actor Walter Tetley, who plays the elevator operator who perpetually gets the best of Lou Costello in this film, would go on to become the voice of "Sherman" in the "Mr. Peabody" cartoons in The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle (2000).

For a murder-mystery set in a radio studio, the film certainly had its share of personalities who themselves were radio actors. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello had been introduced to the nation on "The Kate Smith Hour", and (at the time this film), had their own highly successful radio show. William Bendix (Detective Brannigan) was a bit player in radio at the time, but was to soon become famous for his radio show "The Life of Riley". Walter Tetley (the busboy) was an accomplished child radio actor, playing various roles on different shows including "The Great Gildersleeve" and "The Phil Harris/Alice Faye Show". Finally, William Gargan (Detective Moran) starred in his own radio show, "Barry Craig, Confidential Investigator".

Goofs
When Juliet is telling Mervyn that he can buy her some ice cream after the radio broadcast but that she had to go take care of radio business, her voice is heard but her lips don't move. When she turns around after entering the studio, she says something, but it isn't heard.

Costello running in fright in the radio station crashes through a glass partition, leaving a hole in his shape in the glass. Abbott, following, breaks away part of the glass to get through. Later, we see the hole in the partition in its original form.

When Bud and Lou first meet/search the two Police detectives Costello searches the Police Lt and feels his badge. He screams, yells out 'RING' and tricks the detective into answering the phone giving them time to escape. Abbott runs and exits the door with Costello close BEHIND him. In the very next scene from outside in the hallway the Camera shot shows Costello exiting the door in FRONT of Abbott.
