Discovered by Martin Scorsese during an open casting call for Goodfellas (1990) and won the role of Ray Liotta's mistress in the film.
Had three other sisters.
Italian-American actress remembered for her work in the Martin Scorsese's film Goodfellas (1990), in which she played Ray Liotta's mistress. She originally appeared in The Color of Money (1986) playing pool hustler Tom Cruise's girlfriend but her lack of acting experience caused her to be replaced by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio after three weeks of shooting. Later played a noticeable role in Spike Lee's Jungle Fever (1991).
Died of a rare bacterial infection of the heart. Her heartbroken father, Leonard, died six months later.
Initially earned a degree in Art Design and worked as a model in print ads.
