Daughter of Peter O'Toole and Siân Phillips.
Older half-sister of Lorcan O'Toole.
Though Kate never appeared in any of her father's films, she did play the daughter of her real-life mother Siân Phillips in Laughter in the Dark (1969), their only joint venture.
In 1984, while appearing on stage in Brendan Behan's "The Hostage" (directed by Jim Sheridan) at the Irish Arts Centre on West 51st Street in NYC, her father, Peter O'Toole, made a surprise entrance at the end of the show on closing night to play a bit part. The audience, needless to say, was overwhelmed.
Makes her home on the westernmost edge of Europe near Clifden, Connemara, County Galway, Ireland (birthplace of her father Peter O'Toole).
