Goofs
When Cap Rooney is knocked out of the game, he is sacked around the 25 yard line, as evidenced by multiple shots of him lying on the turf in the middle of the shark logo at the 20 yard line. When his first replacement runs out on the field, the ball is at the 41 yard line, near the Shark-Fin-S logo at midfield. Then, in the very next field shot, before a play is run, the ball is correctly placed at the 30.

In the beginning of the film, right after Cap Rooney (Dennis Quaid) is hurt, the commentator calling the football game refers to Cap Rooney's age as 38. Once he is helped up and carried off the field the same commentator refers to his age again, but this time says he is 39.

In one scene, the play clock is ticking down to 12, and then in the next shot, it is stopped at 25

Quotes
Kevin Branson: Cherubini's down.

Tony D'Amato: That's what a leader's about: sacrifice. The times he's gotta sacrifice because he's gotta lead, by example. Not by fear and not by self-pity.

Dr. Harvey Mandrake: [criticizing the young Dr. Ollie Powers for presuming to examine Jack 'Cap' Rooney] You're actually one of the few relatives that I can stomach, but - You're the internist; I'm the orthopedist, remember? Bone, muscle, joint: me; runny nose, diarrhea, gonorrhea, pink eye: you. Got it?
