On the fifth season, aka "Les Nouvelles Brigades du Tigre", François Maistre was dismissed from the show and was replaced by the German actor 'Pinkas Braun' at the behest of the new German co-producer.

A 7th season was written but never shot because of management changes inside French public network Antenne 2.

When "Les nouvelles Brigades du Tigres" ended in 1982, the show run again one year later under the title "Les années folles".
